Our programmes provide students with opportunities to learn a variety of skills and to use these skills to overcome challenges set before them - at the same time experiencing an awesome adventure.
Our programmes engender trust, teamwork, problem solving, communication, self discovery, respect, and fun. Students learn to face challenges which are character forming, the experiences gained from the programme will last a lifetime.
Single or multi day programmes are tailored to suit age, timeframes and objectives set out by the school.
Our on site core activities include:
Rock climbing, abseiling, a 280 metre flying fox, mountain biking, archery and orienteering.
Off site activities include:
Bush experiences - Maungatautaari Ecological Island, caving and kayaking .....all less than an hour away.
Accommodation
CastleRock Lodge - sleeps 18 or 24
A beautifully renovated homestead with magnificent views of the CastleRock climbing crag. A large open plan rimu kitchen leads to a dining-lounge area. 10 bunk bed dorm, 4 bunk bed dorm, 3 single bed dorm, 1 double and 3 bunk bed room, 3 single room. Two toilets and showers, laundry with washer and dryer, tennis court,barbeque, solar heated pool and spa. Bed linen is provided.
Woolshed - sleeps 19 - overflow may camp (tents not provided)
The Woolshed is situated 3 minutes from the Lodge. It has a basic kitchen, shower and toilet. There are 19 mattresses that can be spread on the floor Marae style. No bedding is provided.
NB Groups booked into the Woolshed not associated with groups booked into the Lodge do not have access to the pool, spa, tennis court etc.
